Sad news people...I can't pay off your student loans, mortgages, or any other debt you may have because we did NOT win the lotto like we had fully intended to do this week! I was so looking forward to getting rid of all my loved ones financial woes but unfortunately it just ain't gonna happen! We bought a lotto ticket (649) the other day and this is something I NEVEr do because well...for reasons like this...I never win! But I was feelin lucky so I bought my first ticket since I got back to Canada and thought maybe that was a sign and I was about to become a millionaire! But nope...not even one number matched...so now I am going to take that as a sign that I should continue to NOT buy lotto tickets...hehe!
Anyways...John works today 1-5 and then we are going to start our Thanksgiving party for 2:) Last week John came home totally wiped from working 2 back to back shifts (a total of 32 hours straight)at both his jobs and told me he just wanted us to relax at home for Thanksgiving. I thought it may be nice since we haven't really had much time to spend together. So we broke the news to our folks and while I felt kinda bad that we were missing out they were all totally cool with it and completely understood (Thanks guys). So now we are making plans to cook our own dinner and have a big date for the entire 24 hours we have off together...wohooo!! I am so looking forward to it! It's strange for us since when we were in Korea we worked side by side and lived together and now we have been working such opposite shifts and John has to stay overnight at one of his jobs twice a week. So we are gonna have a much needed "party for 2"!! I am excited! We are finally just about settled into our apartment so this weekend we're gonna enjoy it!
In other news...haha...last night was pretty fun although we didn't plan for it and John was working yet again! Kyle called the other day to ask us if he and Jaime could crash here so Jaime could get to work on Saturday (she moved home to bridgewater so she doesn't have her place in the city anymore) so of course we said YES! John was gone all night so the 3 of us just hung out had some drinks (which led to Kyle and I having some more drinks...haha) and watched TV and ate KD and hot dogs...We were all in bed pretty early since Jaime was working at 7:30 this morning and then before I knew it John was crawling into bed and that's why I am up so friggan early this morning!
Now we are just makin breakfast and the John will take off to work again and I am going to rent the steam cleaner for the furniture here! Anyways...we're buying a new computer very soon so I'll have some pics of the latest and most current events. Loves yas, Ainslie
