I AM SOOOOO EXCITED!!

Well it is official..I am very much indeed pumped for the holidays! More excited than I have been in past years I think. I am officially on vacation from work now so that is wonderful because I get to spend time with my family. John will be on vacation in about 5 more hours so that too is very exciting...hehe! I think we have a bit of a holiday date weekend planned. We'll be going to my dad's on Christmas eve (I am looking forward to seeing my Aunt and cousins whom I have not seen in about 6 years). Tonight we are going to go for a festive dinner...I am kinda craving Swiss Chalet and then home to watch a movie. Tomorrow we are going to go see a movie matinee and come home and make a dinner together. We're also going to go out tonight for a long walk looking at the holiday lights of the houses in our neighbourhood. I am so excited! John and I thought we'd spend the weekend up until Christmas eve together as our own christmas stuff since we'll be so busy with all 3 families over Christmas that we may not get that much quality one on one...but thats cool. We missed last christmas at home so now I am even more excited for this one! YAHOO...last night we went for a drive to Sackville to look at some lights and stop in at the woman where John works (who I met for the first time) and then we came home and our landlords had a little party/reception thingy in the lobby of our building. There was tonnes of food and eggnog. So they convinced us to stay and so we did. we chatted with everyone and had some food and then I realized the eggnog was SPIKED!! hahaha...not surprising really since our landlords are both from Cape Breton and Nefoundland...haha! But they didn't even tell us at first we just kinda figured it out! It was actually the first time I ever had rum and eggnog (I am not a big rum fan) but I must say it was really good and I'll definitely be having more of it over the holidays this year!! So then after the building party we came upstairs and snuglled in on the couch to watch a Christmas movie with the lights all on the tree and we both fell fast asleep! HAHA...by 9pm we were in bed and asleep for the night! Oh my...So now I am wide awake and going to go get ready for a shopping date with my dad. We do this every year but for some odd reason we left it until the last minute this year so the malls should be just the greatest fun...ugghh!
