I met John on a Spring Break trip to Daytona Beach. My girlfriends and I set out to have 5 days of non-stop fun in the sun. John and his friends were on the same bus trip as us and we all met and became friends. John and I were nothing more than friends for almost a year. Then in the Fall of 2004, after a night of hanging out as friends, he said he'd like to "give us a go". We started dating and things moved very quickly. We fell in love and by July of 2005 we were embarking on a crazy adventure together. We were moving in together and...moving to Seoul South Korea together to teach English and experience life and culture in Asia. We had the time of our lives in Seoul and did some travelling while we were there. A young couple in love, experiencing life in the Korean culture, climbing the Great Wall of China, laying on tropical beaches in Thailand, going Bungee Jumping, scuba diving in a shark aquarium, going elephant treking, and living life to the absolute fullest! How could it possibly get any better?!?!
We moved back to Canada in August 2006. By September of 2007 John had asked me to marry him. He took me back to the very spot we had our first kiss, got down on one knee and proposed. I was over the moon and of course wedding planning began right away. On September 27, 2008 we said our "I do's" in front of our family and friends. It truly was a fairy tale day.
In the summer of 2009, John's career led us to a new province where we didn't know anyone. Since we had lived on the other side of the world together with no friends or family, we figured we'd get along just fine in a province only 4 hours away from our "home city". So we sold our house, moved to NB and bought a new house!
