Mammarazzi: Our weekend in a nutshell...

So this weekend was great! John and I really enjoyed ourselves as this was our first weekend without any real plans! So we totally took the weekend as it came and din't make any specific plans and ended up having a fantabulous time!!!! Friday night we went for sushi and a walk on the boardwalk. Saturday morning we lazed around, did some errands and then had Jaime & Kyle over for a BBQ and some drinks. We had a few beer and then headed down to the waterfront to see the fireworks (which didn't turn out to well since we had thought we had a great view but didn't catch them due to fog...turned out they were just REALLY low and setting them off under the bridge area so we just weren't in good sights). Then we headed back to our place for more drinks and my homemade strawberry daquiris...YUMMY! Sunday was another lazy morning as I nursed my hangover. Then we got up and went to Queensland Beach where we met up with Jordan, Josh, Gabe, Robbie, Robbie's sister Erica and Fillmore. they were out on robbie's boat for the day. We hung out with them for a bit and then headed home. We stopped in at james & Amber's on the way home for a short visit. We finally got back to the city close to 9pm and then decided it was too late to cook so we grabbed some mexican food, came home and watched a movie! We watched "Hannibal Rising" and ICK....it was gross! I wasn't a big fan of it!!!
John had suggested we go to Peggy's Cove for the day on monday and pack a picnic lunch which I excitedly agreed with as I love going on picnics...YAY! So we packed a nice lunch and headed out for the day....WOW! peggy's Cove is such a touristy spot. There were sooooo many people there. John had never been there and I was only there once when I was a small child so I didn't remember much but my goodness....people were EVERYWHERE!!! It was fun though! We set up our blanket and had lunch while all the tourists came by and remarked on what a good idea it was to picnic there...lol! I swear most of them were hinting for an invite;) lol All in all we had a great day! I was pretty tired last night so I chilled out at home for the evening while John went golfing with James and Scott. It was nice to have the place to myself for a few hours. I just chatted on the phone and cleaned up and watched crappy TV. I'm tellin ya...the weekends you don't plan usually turn out to be the best! As this is most likely our last free weeeknd of the summer, we both totally appreciated it!!! Oh well...the reat of August and September will still be tonnes of fun!!! I HEART SUMMER TIME!!!!
