This past weekend was a great one! the Best part: I GOT MY WEDDING DRESS! It is soooo perfect! I love love love it! My mom, sister and Donald came up for the weekend to help! They arrived late friday evening. Before they got here I went to dinner and a movie with the gals from work and we went to see "27 Dresses" so I was already full into wedding dress mode by the time Saturday rolled around. Saturday morning Lauren and I woke up bright and early to take in the Farmer's Market and a breakfast date with Dad. It was a fun morning spent together...its not often the 3 of us get to hang out and have father daughter time seeing as how we live in different directions.
Late Saturday morning Janet and Jaime met my sister, mom and I at my place and we took off in full dress shopping mode. We went to Winchesters and tried on a lot of Bridal gowns, some Mother of the bride/groom outfits and Lauren tried on a few MOH dresses as well. I of course found my perfect dress (which I pretty well already knew going there it was "the one") and got to ring the first of the wedding bells at Winchesters (they have this thing for when a bride buys her gown she rings a bell and it is to signify the first of your wedding bells to ring...which I think is super cute).
After a very long excursion at Winchester's we headed to the Economy Shoe Shop for lunch and martinis! YUMMY! After lunch we went to the Model Shop in Dartmouth for a quick look at dresses for Lauren and the mom's!
It was a super fun day and thank you to all who helped in this exciting event of gown shopping both this Saturday past and the Saturday we spent in December looking as well. I couldn't have done it without you all! Love yas!
Saturday night after Jaime and Janet headed back to New Ross & New Germany; Mom, Lauren, Donald, John and I all headed to the Halifax Shopping Center for a quick shopping trip. We didn't spend a lot of time there as we were all pretty wiped! We just came home, had supper and some drinks and hit the hay pretty early!
Sunday morning we all woke up and had a nice brunch with mimosas (Champagne and O.J) involved! =) mmmmm....YUMMY! Mimosas! hahah Then we of course had to hit up Costco and Dartmouth Crossing! The poor boys were all shopped out! It was a fabulous weekend! Thank you guys for coming to spend the weekend!
Monday I even got to sleep in as my office didn't open until noon which was a nice treat for a monday!

So that was a sneak peek at weddign dress shopping this weekend. Thank you to the photographers involved. I only posted the ones of me sans dress...haha! But again....thank you to everyone who helped me both this weekend and the weekend in december! I am so grateful to you all! XOXOXO I feel lucky to share all these special moments in my life with such great peeps ;) Only 226 more days until I am Mrs. Walker =) EEEEEEEEEEEKKKK! Sooooooo exciting!!!!
Oh and on another note: MY WEDDING BAND IS FINISHED! It was picked up Saturday morning and it fits B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L-L-Y with my engagement ring! I love love love it!!! Its as if the designer (Bradshaw) read my mind! I am very pleased and I HIGHLY reccommend him. He did a fantastic job....can't wait to wear it now!!!
