Easter Weekend Wrap-Up

This Easter weekend John had to work (yes ALL weekend...BOOO HOOO) but we made the best of it. I have to say I refrained from my usual Easter chocolate intake and am quite pleased with myself (I did have a mini binge on mini eggs at one point but it was nothing too sever and I quickly got it under control...haha). But I think what I lacked in chocolate I more than made up for in beer consumption...so now it is double duty on the "WeDdInG DrEsS DiEt"...haha! Did you all have a great Easter? I sure hope so!!! What is your favorite Easter candy? Mine is definitely a toss up between mini eggs and cream eggs (Can you believe I had not a single cream egg this year? I know...I too am in shock!!!).
Thursday night we went out for wings and beer with Jordan, LoriLei, Josh and Mader. It's been a while since I got to see any of them so it was nice to catch up. After leaving the pub we headed back to Josh and Fillmore's place for a little while.
Friday evening we went to "Your Father's Mustache" for dinner with my Dad & Ivy and then we all checked out the Mooseheads game. It was a play off game and the Moosehead's kicked butt (6-2). We had great seats which were really close so the action packed game was all the much more exciting!! But I still stick to my game plan...that is the best part of going to a hockey game is the beer =P hehehe!
Saturday, I relaxed but ran some errands and cleaned up a bit! Saturday evening John surprised me and came home with a bouquet of pink and white daisies for me for easter. He is so thoughtful! We stayed in and watched "No Country for Old Men" on Saturday night after I cooked us a delicious meal! The movie (for those of you who have yet to see it) was good, different but good. Although I was a little unsatisfied with the ending (and NO I am not giving anything away here for those of you who did not see it).
Sunday, I did absolutely nothing all day. I stayed in my jammies until 3:30pm and I watched "Atonement" and ate some mini egss...haha! Atonement was a pretty good movie I must say! When John got home from work we headed out to my Dad & Ivy's for Easter dinner...which as always was WAY too much food!
Then today I woke up and did some errands and appointments and wedding things...I also went for sushi for lunch and then headed to the Spa for a mini spa day! It was a great, relaxing day and I enjoyed it VERY much. I think it is important to treat yourself once in a while...and that I did! =)
Now it is back to work tomorrow...oh well...it'll be nice to see everyone and chat about the Easter festivities of my co-workers! Many of them have small kids so they will likely have some funny tales to tell! We have a work meeting/luncheon thingy this weekend so that will take up most of Saturday (surprisingly...I am actually looking forward to it). I know it may sound strange to many of you but here are my reasons:
1- I have never been to our AGM (Annual General Meeting) before and am anxious to see it all in action
2- I work with awesome people and I really enjoy spending time with all of them
3- the caterer who is doing the meal is the same guy we chose to cater our wedding...good opportunity to see them in action
Anyways...I hope you all had a great long weekend and enjoyed it with family & friends!
Love you all...
XOXO

Here are some pics of my beautiful pink and white daisies!!
