Lilah Isabelle is 2 Months Old!!

November 1st 2012 - 9 lbs 9 oz and 22 inches long

On November 1st 2012 our sweet Lilah turned 2 months old and while this post may be extremely outdated I still wanted to provide a brief update on her life in these precious 2 months. Lilah has been doing so well and is generally a very pleasant baby. She is (knock on wood) a decent sleeper and seems to be so far very content. She is different from Forrest when it comes to sleep - while Forrest would fall asleep easily (while nursing, in his vibrating chair, in his swing, etc) she rarely (if ever) falls asleep like this and only falls asleep while being held and walked or rocked. She never falls asleep nursing, has fallen asleep in her swing once and never in her chair. Once Lilah is asleep she is down for the count and will sleep for a long stretch (very unlike her brother who would sleep for 3 hours max but usually up every 2). She is pretty vocal the minute she has a wet or dirty diaper (again unlike her brother who I would be checking constantly because he'd be content just laying in it - yuck). She loves bathtime and her play mat where she kicks her little legs wildly and smiles and coos at the singing star. Forrest is still completely taken with her which is adorable. He loves to help in any way he can including getting her soother and passing us diapers and he is very worried when she starts to cry over anything. It's the sweetest thing to hear him say her name "Ya Ya", try to make her smile and see him plaster her with kisses - I hope he is this loving with her all his life.
This past month Lilah has had lots and lots of visitors including all 3 sets of grandparents, a great aunt and uncle and some good family friends (and perhaps future husband - Fisher ;). She celebrated her first Thanksgiving and Halloween where she dressed up as a banana and Forrest was the monkey.
She brings us so much joy I can't wait to see what the next month brings.
