Well...Ladies...it is officially Superbowl Sunday! YUCK! sorry to any football fans that may be reading this and have now developed a major superbowl hate-on for me but it's true! I hate it! It's just a lame excuse for guys to act like...well guys! LOL. But I am glad John is going to enjoy the "big game" on our new TV with a few of the guys, some beer and some typical guy superbowl food (i.e. wings, ribs, pepperoni and chips)! I am way more "glad" that I will not be here for it...haha! Jaime, Jill and I are going to go out for a girls night of dinner, drinks and a movie! It will be so much nicer and more civil than the sport/food/beer fest going on here! LOL! I am looking forward to it!
This weekend was really nice so far! Friday night, John and I went out to my Dad and Ivy's for a delicious supper! Melanie and the girls came over shortly after and we had a sleepover! It was so nice to see them since it had been way too long since I had last seen them. We had a lot of fun playing and I made a fort for the girls and we told stories (some of which were scary stories...lol). It was great! Saturday morning John got up and went to work and Melanie, Chloe, Emma and I hung out for a bit at the house, then came back to our apartment for a bit and then headed to the mall to attempt bowling! Unfortunately the bowling alley was booked solid and much to our disappointment we couldn't get a lane! So we shopped around for a bit and then headed home. It was so much fun to hang out with those gals! We decided to have a barbie sleepover in the near future at our place!! Which for all of you who know my love of barbies (jealous kassandra?! hahaha) know that I am really excited for it! hehe! Last night John said he wanted to go bowling but we decided to hang out at home instead. John made me a romantic dinner complete with candles, wine and music and then we just had a lazy night until we broke out the games of crib, checkers and chess which I lost at all of the rounds we played (yes I suck)!
So now it is the day of this "big game" and I am just going to hang out and get ready and then move along once the boys start to gather. Looking forward to a night out with some gals!
Happy superbowl to all the ladies that feel the pain...haha! But enjoy it boys!

I usually watch the Superbowl...but the Rankin concert was a much better option this evening.
