Happy Half Birthday To The Sweetest Baby Boy

Happy Half Birthday Forrest!!!! Half a year, 6 months, 26 weeks...WOW! I am in awe at just how fast the time whirled by us! I am in awe by how much you've grown and developed in just 6 short months. I am in awe by how my world has completely changed in 26 weeks! But most of all I am in awe by how much I can love you Forrest! As I sit here blogging, pounding away at the computer keys, the tears are literally rolling down my face! I cannot put into words how truly awesome our lives have become since Forrest came into the world! I will never forget the exact moment you were born, your father's words as he told me we had a son and the intense emotion I felt when I held you in my arms for the first time and looked into your beautiful eyes!! The past 6 months have been the very best and we thank you for bringing so much joy into our lives. You have made your mommy and daddy the happiest 2 people on the planet!! We wanted and loved you before you were born, or even conceived! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you and as each day passes the love we have for you gets even stronger! It's really quite amazing!!! It's been a lot of fun to watch you grow! What a pleasure it is to be your mommy!!!
This month you have been so busy. You have been sitting up on your own now since about five and a half months (you started this for very brief periods of time just after five months).  You have been exclusively breastfed since you were born but we started you on solids last weekend and you are not impressed. So far you have tried some rice cereal (mixed with breast milk), purreed chicken and sweet potato. All of which you do not like. Of the three you are enjoying the cereal the most and have actually swallowed a few bites in the past couple of days. Your sleep was the one thing that was absolutely killing mommy and daddy. It seemed you liked to wake up every 45 minutes. The past week and a half, well we aren't going to say it out loud because Mommy is totally worried about jinxing things...but lets just say that we are definitely pleased with the past week and a half! Mommy and Daddy love taking naps with you because you cuddle!!! You love love love your jump-a-roo, your exersaucer and now you have an obsession with Sophie. We don't go anywhere without her. We are waiting on those little "teefers" that are just driving you crazy. We watch as you drool, chew on anything you can get into your mouth and pull on your poor little ears. We just know the day one little tooth pops up is just around the corner!!! You have grown out of your swing and daddy packed it away this month. Bath time is also fun as you love to splash splash splash and kick your little legs a mile a minute! It's just the cutest!!!
You are getting so used to the camera, whenever I hold it up to snap a picture you give me a big smile!! Whenever we go to pull you up to a sitting position, you automatically want to stand instead of sit. You just love to stand and then jump jump jump! Too cute!
I feel as though I am leaving so much out of this post because it has been such an eventful month. You are always doing new things and hitting new milestones. It is so much fun!!!
Forrest - you are now in size 3 diapers. Your pants are still 3-6 months but you are wearing mostly 6-9 or 6-12 because mommy bought you all those sizes for summer thinking they would fit you (silly mommy). Nothing a dapper snapper won't fix though. Your onesies and jammy jams are all 6-9 and 6-12 because you are long and lean and anything smaller is just too short on you!!
