Look what Santa brought me

It's no secret I love to bake and cook. It's also no secret that I've been lusting after a kitchen aid mixer for years. So when "Santa" surprised me with one this Christmas I was one happy lady. Due to a constant flow of company combined with a nasty cold over the holidays, I had yet to play with it. This afternoon I tested it out by making cheesecake cup cakes for my hubbs' belated birthday supper (I was beyond sick yesterday and couldn't bring myself to do anything but take care of the kids and sleep). I must say I love love love it. Toss the New Year's resolutions out the window folks, this momma will be baking up a storm. Joan's (forrest's sitter) birthday is this week and I'm already planning on baking her a cake.

I got one this year too! Looks like the same one as you. So far I've made pizza dough, whipped cream, one of the breads in the KitchenAid book and mashed potatoes! I'm so impressed by how effortless it seems to do everything!
