I feel like a lucky gal to have some wonderful friends in my life. At 30 years of age I feel like I have the kind of girlfriends I should have met much earlier in my life. They are always there for me when I need a laugh a cry or just a good chat (and I for them of course). We have so much fun together and have shared a lot of really great times, great memories, great experiences (as well as some not so great). No matter what happens in life we'll be there for each other and for that I am grateful.
So when my friend Erin showed up with a helping hand and a bottle of wine to give me a break during this sleepless phase we're dealing with, I was beyond touched and grateful. Her one stipulation was that John and I had to go on a date. Just having her here to keep me company, share some laughs and of course her help picked up my spirits and put a smile on my face.
Nothing cures what ails ya like a good girl friend.

It's so interesting how friends can change over time - people you used to have a ton in common with, and slowly you lose touch completely. The ones who last are the ones - like these - who will drop everything for you, send you a thoughtful out-of-the-blue just-because-I-was-thinking-of-you gift, and will always be there for you. Now that I'm nearing 30, I seem to only have a few really good friends - but they're the ones who do this kind of thing, and I'm so grateful too!
